FEBRUARY 2017
Changes to the previous CoC are in Red.

When the league changes, so does the Code. From time to time, the Code may be revised.

ABOUT THE CODE OF CONDUCT:
Please remember this is just a game, just enjoy the game. The following Code of Conduct is the framework designed to ensure that members of this community enjoy the game. It gives fair warning to those who may disrupt other members from that purpose.

MISSION STATEMENT
To promote a friendly, fun atmosphere for all our league members. To encourage fair play and cooperation between members. To be known, not as any particular group PVE or PVP, but as a family that has blast together.

CONDUCT
Conduct yourself in a professional, mature, manner. You are an extension of this league, and as such, your actions represent the league. If you are perpetually immature and annoy the league as a whole, you will be subject to disciplinary action that may result but not limited to a warning, demotion, or kicked from the league.

A. Community: We always keep our word. Never make a promise you can't keep. Always back up a fellow leaguemate in need. Expect no compensation for something done for a fellow leaguemate.

B. Inactivity: If you are an officer (League Rank 4 & Above) who has been inactive for a minimum of 30 days, you will be demoted to a Knight or Agent. Inactive Knight or Agents will be demoted to MIA status. Inactive members in the probationary status is subject to removal.

Let us know about extended absences. If you need to be out of game for an extended period of time, please post a message on facebook, website site wall, or send an email/pm to a league officer.

C. Alternate characters: We fully support alternate characters, both heroes and villains alike. If you have an alternate character that you would like to join the league, let any League Rank 4: Honor Knight or Omen Double Agent & above know. We can invite them into the league as long as it follows the name criteria. Any unsure of the league name requirement should be directed to an officer. See the naming policy below. Your alt will be given an ALT rank ingame for census purposes.

It is also ok to have an alternate character in another league. Any community league bank items should only be shared with characters of the same league and not sent to another character of another league. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action.

D. League Invites: As of February 2017, League Rank 4: Honor Knight or Omen Double Agent & above have access to invite into the league. Invites are only given to approved new recruits from the website, and alt characters from current members rank ____ and above. Any unapproved recruits in the league will be removed. Any alt characters that violate the naming policy will be removed. For more about recruitment, see the Recruitment section below.

E. ROLEPLAYING: Casual Role Playing (via text chat) is not frowned upon. You may "/say", "/shout", etc IN CHARACTER as much as you want. We do not force players to Role Play, nor will we give anyone a hard time about not Role Playing. To each their own.

F. LOOTING: Looting rules have changed in the course of the game. The basics of the rules are as follows:
NEED only if you could use it on your character. GREED or PASS for all other reasons.

G. PvP - Player vs Player
A. Defend yourself.
B. Act accordingly throughout. Don't confuse competitiveness to just plain out being rude.

RECRUITMENT
A. All members can promote the league. We do not try to recruit members from other leagues (families). If anyone is interested in the league, note that recruitment is only through the website to go through our vetting process. If you meet a potential recruit, direct them to the website to apply. If they do not want to take the time to apply, then they have a high potential to not want to take the time to be and stay in the league. Since the website was created in 2011, all recruitment has been through the website. It is a requirement for all approved members to be registered.

As of February 2017, League Rank 4: Honor Knight or Omen Double Agent & above have ingame access to invite approved applications into the league. If a new recruit sends a message to the league saying they need the league invite because they were approved, please confirm by checking the website Roster or sitewall before sending the invite. Any unapproved recruits in the league will be removed.

NAMING REQUIREMENT: The main criteria for recruitment is the name criteria. All members must have an original name - no xx's or numbers for letters. We want to keep the league as original as possible.

Examples for names that are not valid are (but not limited to):

no numbers for letters or area codes/symbols
no "x" for spaces, "xX" or similar for a prefix/suffix
no accented symbols within a letter
no names of a tasteless/pornographic nature
no names containing random upper and lower casing. We prefer your name to not be misspelled but may allow depending on the name.
no names that are meant to be two or more words, but combined to look as one. i.e. greenlatern,NO. GreenLantern, Yes.

Since the league was created in 2011, the naming requirement rules has always been open to interpretation by the reviewing officers at the time of the application. An approval is based on a voting system.

PROMOTIONS
Promotions are based on league participation - in-game, website, social media and/or discord chat. Overall helpfulness and the desire to help are the main criteria for promotions. If you have a desire to move up in rank, see an officer.

Rank is something that needs to be earned. No one is "entitled" to move up in rank based on level or the amount of time that you have been a member. You will be promoted based on maturity, league activity, event performance, and by many other criteria. Constantly begging and annoying your officers into promoting you DOES NOT WORK.

DISCIPLINARY ACTION
All league members are required to adhere to the League's Code of Conduct. Failure to do so will be subjected to Disciplinary Action. The main criteria for any decision made answers the question - Is it good for the league?

Complaints against other league members should be directed to an officer. Investigations will be conducted by officers and reviewed by League Rank 6: Council. The Council members will determine if disciplinary action is warranted. If misconduct is present the league leader (Commander/Director) and the Battlemasters/Viceroy will determine disciplinary action taking into consideration any other underlying circumstances.

Complaints against any league officer and higher ranked members should be directed to the the League Rank 7 and 8, the league leader (Commander/Director) and the Battlemasters/Viceroy. They will address the situation and allow both sides to represent the case. Any, misconduct will then be determined. If misconduct is present, the league leader with the Battlemasters/Viceroy will determine disciplinary action taking into consideration any other underlying circumstances.

Possible Punishments include but not limited to: Warning, Demotion, Kicked from league.

MISCELLANEOUS.
A. Please keep yourself up to date on information regarding the League via the website.

B. You are responsible for learning how to effectively play your character, learning how to effectively gear your character, and ensuring that you are not a detriment to your party/raid group. We are more than willing to help you to achieve what you need to achieve in order to be successful, but please understand we may not be willing to carry you all the time. If you consistently have a negative impact on the group as a whole and refuse to take steps to improve, do not expect to be invited to participate in content that requires that all group members be at their best.

C. PuGs (Pick Up Group): Also known as randoms or non-league players in your group. It is important that this league is represented well. Do your best to consider everyone in your group as if they were part of the league. Ex. If you find yourself in a situation where a non-league member is rude and you and/or another league members feels uncomfortable - feel free to vote to kick. If you find yourself in a situation where a non-league member seems to purposely drag the group - feel free to vote to kick. Don't vote to kick if a non-league member is doing the best they can but unintentionally dragging the group.Changes to the previous CoC are in Red.
